Emotionally Focused Family therapy works to modify distressed relationships in a family in the direction of increased accessibility and responsiveness, thus helping the family to create a secure base for children to grow and leave from. In the first part of the day, the key concepts from an attachment perspective will be highlighted along with the essential differences between EFT and EFFT. The therapeutic map will be elucidated including decision on how to plan the treatment and how to shape the key moments of change. A live session will be held to demonstrate the reprocessing and shaping of positive interaction within a family unit.
