The Inaugural Professor Paul Kennedy Memorial Lecture, held at St. Anne’s College, Oxford on the 7th May, was a tremendous success. Focusing on Prof Kennedy’s contributions, values, and enduring legacy in spinal cord injury and rehabilitation, and wider developments in Clinical Health Psychology, the capacity audience was treated to a series of inspiring talks from the speakers Dr Jane Duff (keynote), Dr Claire Pollard, Mr Andy Russell, Dr Peter Lude, Dr Nigel King, Prof Paul Salkovskis, and Prof David Clark. Opportunities for discussion, posters of recent developments and research at the National Spinal Injuries Centre(NSIC), and a convivial lunch, all contributed to make this a fitting memorial event. An annual lecture is planned to continue this legacy.
