Professor kennedy memorial
Memorial attendees in the Arlosh Hall, Harris Manchester College

A memorial service was held on Saturday 25th February at Harris Manchester College to celebrate the life of Professor Paul Kennedy who passed away in September 2016. Approximately one hundred and fifty people attended the event including many former and current trainees, colleagues, friends and members of Professor Kennedy's family.

The service was led by Rev Dr Ralph Waller, Principal of Harris Manchester College and included a poignant reading by his son Dermot of one of Professor Kennedy's favorite poems - Human chain by Seamus Heaney. David Murphy, OxICPT Joint Director said "One of Paul's great strengths was bringing people together and the fact that so many of us came together today, some from as far away as Sydney Austrailia, illustrates how many people Paul inspired during his lifetime".

In April 2017, the European Spinal Psychologists Association, which was founded by Professor Kennedy, will be held in honour of him in Oxford.

Contributions can still be made to the memorial website for Professor Kennedy -
