BSc (Hons), MSc
Trainee Clinical Psychologist
What I do
I am currently in my third year of training at the Oxford Institute of Clinical Psychology. I completed my BSc in Psychology and MSc in Research Methods at the University of Southampton.
I am currently on a neuropsychology placement in Berkshire working mainly with the community neurorehabilitation team as well as outpatient neuropsychology and inpatient neurorehabilitation.
Previous placements include:
- South Buckinghamshire Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS)
- Oxford City Step 4 Psychological Services (Adult Mental Health)
- Older Adult Mental Health Windsor, Ascot and Maidnhead
- Buckinghamshire Community Learning Disability Team, Intensive Support Team and Learning Disability Inpatient Unit
Much of my pre-training experience involved work in complex needs, with a focus on attachment, and this is still an area of particular interest to me. My dissertation will explore adoptive parents experiences of Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy, a treatment that aims to help children who have symptoms of emotional disorders, including developmental trauma and attachment disorders.
I am also interested in neuropsychology and am keen to further develop my experience of this on the course.
