Clinical Supervision

Professional Interests

Dr Helen Beinart was Director (Clinical and Professional) of the Oxford Institute of Clinical Psychology Training, Oxford University until October 2013. She now works free-lance in the field of clinical supervision. Clinically, she has worked with children, young people and their families in health and primary care settings. Over the past 20 years, she has been involved in developing supervisor training and research. She is author of several chapters and papers on clinical supervision and co-editor of the book, Clinical Psychology in Practice (2009). She has a long-term interest in the development of professional competence and the contribution of clinical supervision and, in particular, supervisory relationships to its development.
